Bangladesh-Ireland Women’s T20 series teeing off in tea town

Having secured a comprehensive 3-0 victory in the ODI series, Bangladesh women’s team now turn their attention to the T20 format, eager to replicate their success against Ireland.
The first match of the three-game series is set to begin today at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium, with both teams aiming to start on the front foot.
To mark the occasion, captains Nigar Sultana Joty of Bangladesh and Gaby Lewis of Ireland added a touch of cultural charm to the proceedings by unveiling the series trophy at the Malnichera Tea Estate in Sylhet on Wednesday.
The duo donned traditional attire of tea leaf pickers, embracing the rich heritage of the region known as the tea capital of Bangladesh.
